In terms, if writing and storytelling, its highlights are pretty darn amazing. It's also an anime that keeps changing and doesn't really stick to the exact same story all the way through. The characters have quite a lot of development with several arcs, rather than just focusing on one arch throughout. What I thought the focus of the show would be after having watched a few episodes turned out not at all to be what continued, so a happy surprise that it wasn't too predictable.
I'll give it 7 as the last 1/3 was a bit too depressing for me and with an unsatisfying wrap-up (imo) - but still a very good show.
But now all that is over and I hope that one day the manga gets an ending so that I can read that and maybe feel more satisfied.
Anyway, I still highly recommend the show as it's pretty darn well written and rather unique (at least from the once I've watched, it's more grown-up rather than being a love-dove highschool romance).
