By making the bold move of using a medival setting without/nearly no incorperation of violence Spice & Wolf was able to focus on the life of the main character Lawrence Craft and the everyday merchant and political affairs he engages in. I found this a refreshing change from shows such as Bleach and Dragon Ball Z. The relationship between Lawrence and Horo is another important aspect that i found enjoyable, The cleaver use of Characters in an Aquared relationship in combination with a smooth art style creates an enjoyable viewing experience. Comedy also being used to develope character personalities, and shape the story. Overall i suggest watching this anime and experiencing its unique qualities.
