'Reach it. Reach it... Reach it!'

Lately, I'm watching some romcoms, stopping the action animes for a bit. Well, I didn't wanted to watch this anime at all. A musical drama... But people were so pleased by it, so I just gave it a chance. It worthed a lot.

First at all, watch it. Stop fearing that you'll lose some minutes or hours of your life just because it has a musical drama theme. It is more than that. The whole thing is beautiful. This is about friendship, love, family, dreams, surpassing your limits and fears, avoiding some cliche.

[May have some spoilers from now on]

The plots are awesome. Kousei Arima, a family abused boy, turned into a piano prodigy, can't play it anymore. A curse, her 'mother' says. Two years later, he can't let the memories go. 'If I don't stick on it, nothing will remain on me'. He can't listen to the music anymore. But Kaori Miyazono, a classmate of Tsubaki, his friend, helped him to get through his problems and come back to the music.

'Can you forget?'

Although, Kaori is a sick girl. Even so, she still supported him. Always asking 'are you still playing?', or calling him to play with her. She never gave up from him, even turning him as the 'Friend A'. But she still tries to lift him up. It teaches musicians and either people who are lost in their lives, because you still need to go and play, even with people hates it or not. The first part of the show develops how the main character gets over his problems. It is more intense and has more funny parts. The second part brings more the emotions.

The art is fantastic. One of the most beautiful animes I've ever seen. It's plenty detailed and colorful. The musicians convince about what they're doing. The comedy parts, changing to a more comic drawing, are enjoyable either.

Obviously, the music is fantastic. But first at all, the first opening brought me to the anime. Hikari Nara is a pop song from Goose House with catchy lyrics and composition. The other OP and ED were either awesome, but that one was awesome. As a violin and piano lover, listening to some of those musics that I've ever heard (I suck at classic) was AWESOME. Now I listen to some Chopin before doing my tests or studing. Is fuckin relaxing and confortable.

All characters had a good development. Kousei, the shy and hated boy, fighting against his own curse with the help of the 'energetic' and happy girl, Kaori. Tsubaki is his friend since childhood, lying to herself for years that Kousei is just his little brother, but she loves him (a bit of cliche on this), still sticking up with him. Watari is a soccer player who prefers cute girls, and as Kousei's best friend, supports him a bit too.

The whole anime is enjoyable. Some people should quit because of the theme, but I can say, this is one of the best animes I've ever seen. It brings so many themes and emotions that is hard to argue how beautiful it is. The last chapter IS the most beautiful thing I've seen in an anime, easily saying. It would please almost any kind of person.

Again!
