This anime is a great work of art, why? Well you'll have to either read on or go and watch the anime if you haven't yet, or both.

The main thing I like is the story the anime tells. It doesn't take long before you realize that it will be filled with emotions. But the thing here is that it manages to balance out the emotion quite nicely. It isn't all sad, there are lots of moments that are positive and they might even make you smile at times. These moments are giving the sadder moments the extra it needs to really touch you.

You are able to relate with most of the characters, not counting Watari, because of the setting and the fact that something similar to this could happen to anyone out there further boosting the emotional connection you build up with the characters over time.

As for the animation, it was really well done, good use of colours during the scenes. From the use of bright colours in certain scenes to using really pale colours in others, where suited actually. At the beginning I noticed certain scenes with really simple drawings and that took some getting used to. But these were always the scenes in which the main characters were not really interested and as such you as the viewer also didn't really mind. So just as in real life when you don't really care about something you won't take in too much details.

The sound was done really well. As it is supposed to in an anime that tells you the story about musicians. The music, when being played by the characters as well as the background music, are all wonderfully done and fit the scene splendidly. I had nothing bad to say about the voice acting either, it felt really genuine during the whole anime.

In conclusion, they did a great job in this anime to convey the feelings experienced by the main characters and really went out of their way to draw in the viewers.
