Firstly i was thinking about a population (Japan of course) being attacked by terrorists and we would see them experiencing it.. experiencing an terrorist attack. Well sorry but this anime isn´t about it.
I really got disappointed with this show, somehow, with terrorism, they managed to pull off some clichês .. seriously .. There are things in this anime that seem a big waste of time..
Story: 7/10. The initial concept was fine. A nice idea actually.. but then .. well then things had to get worst. It starts doing some questionable things to the plot. One of them is how they manage to get in some places .. i would love to tell you but i won´t otherwise i would be spoiling, but the plot isn´t explained properly, a lot of questions were left without an answer plus some "fails" on the plot only makes it worst.
They decided to do a whole thing with only 12 eps and it went wrong. Basically this anime is about a group of "terrorists" (who watched the anime will understand the quotation marks) who starts to attack Japan. After an attack, that group meets a girl who had serious troubles with her life..
Despite of those problems that i talked about, this anime is still engaging and fun to watch. There are some moments that can put you on the edge of your sit and that is really an important thing.
Art: 8/10. The art is fine. Both the background and the character design are fine. Nothing really outstanding but still good enough. The pallet used is really interesting one. They made a mix between dark and bright colours which gave some sort of beauty to the anime overall. If there is a problem with the art, is the character design. They are good, but not great. The characters look flat.
Sound: 7/10. The opening is nice but i couldn´t enjoy it. I skipped every single episode. Maybe is my personal taste but i really felt that this opening is not a big thing. The tracks used are fine. Nothing memorable or epic, just fine. I think that they don´t add anything to the anime, they are just there to fill in.
Character: 7/10. The biggest problem was the decision making. Is not rare seeing a questionable choice here. I always asked myself : Why is she/he doing it? Would she/he really behave like that before such situation? I guess not .. it seemed not natural.
The develop is weak. We can´t see much of them. Basically we only know their motives and what they wanted to do. I can´t describe you the characters because i just don´t know them. They are not original. Nothing new here, everything that I saw here I had already seen it elsewhere but better.
Enjoyment: 8/10. Like i said, despite all of those problems, Zankyou no Terros is still a engaging anime. Personally i loved the end, really heart touching. Meanwhile, the middle episodes were boring at some point. I didn´t like them.
Overall: 7/10. I reccomend this anime. Even though it has nothing new to show, the ending is good so I think it worth it's time.
