Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is a masterpiece. Watching this anime was one of the most enjoyable experiences that I've had recently. I highly suggest that everyone gives this a watch.
The story is fantastic and has tons of hilarious quirky moments. It's overly cute in a good way, and this is coming from a male college student. The story also has tons of depth. I was surprised when suddenly the series punches you with tons of emotion and feels right in the gut. It's a great progression and it makes the series feel full and thought out. You'll laugh, you'll smile, you'll cry, and you'll go AWE!!! It has a full range of emotions and all of them are achieved greatly. It's way more then just a comedy, get your tissues ready!
The characters are so lovable. Rikka is without a doubt one of the best characters in anime. Like I said in the story section, these characters put you through a wide range of emotions and it's all achieved with great character development. There wasn't one character that felt like it was in the way or just put there to be there. They all felt important and real. The design on the characters is beautiful and the animations are crisp and a work of art.
I think this anime is a must watch for anyone. I can't really pin-point a reason as to why this anime wouldn't be for you, you just have to trust me and watch it. If you're thinking it might be too childish looking or too "cute" looking for your taste, just watch it anyway, you'll be happy. This anime earns my highest recommendation.
