I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Barakamon, given that I normally watch romantic anime, but I kept coming across it so I thought I'd give it a try, and I'm so glad that I did! This anime gave me happy, almost nostalgic feelings when I watched it and I was sad when it finished. The artwork is beautiful and had a light, airy feeling. The main character, Hanada, is at times awkward and insecure, but in a relatable, likeable way. The real star of the show is the little girl named Naru, who had me laughing the entire time! I loved Hanada's affection for her, and how she caused him to grow. I wish there were more episodes, and I plan on reading the manga, which is ongoing. If you are considering watching this anime, go ahead and give it a try... you won't be disappointed! Oh, and if it matters at all I loved the opening and ending songs; they were so pretty!
