I looked forward to it and I'm not disappointed.
The initial idea is original: a court which judges souls through games ? I thought that it would be a little bit repetitive if new people were judged in every episode without change. But, besides the judgment, we are the witness of the arrival of a new character who is going to upset little by little this small world and to question its principles.
The atmosphere is rather dark, the rhythm is neither too fast nor too slow. Colors are very beautiful and the opening is really strange : it doesn't match with anime's atmosphere.
There is a lot of mystery which surrounds the universe of this anime : is every character going to go to the nothingness or to be reincarnated?
The spectators of Death Parade ask themselves many questions: is it because he dies that the human has to live or because he lives that he has to die? And in reality what's the death? What's the life?
In summary, this is a little anime rather nice to see even if it's not for me the revelation of the year.
