First of all, i am expecting everyone reading my review has already seen the season 1. the series started with all its might. Both the season consists of 4 story arcs ( 2 each). and my explanation will be based on both the seasons so that the viewers can compare.
Story:(3/10) story of season 1 first arc was truly splendid and exciting. being trapped in a game, and the only way to get out was to kill the boss in the last floor. Yes, the protagonist was overpowering, the the story kept it well balanced. "excitement graph" went down after every episode for me, until the near end, where it finally got interesting...... after that starts the second arc, the alfheim arc. i had high expectations from it, however they added the "incest" in it which ruined my interest totally. the point of the alfheim arc was that they needed to clear the game, however no one was able to reach the top......... except that the protagonist did it so easily that it made no sense to me.......... Season 2, arc 3.... i had high expectations from it that finally the studio realized their mistakes and might improve it....... however, it got even ruined, hey added even more harem, and made the protagonist even more powerful..... i finally quit, but later on decided to watch the 4th arc, i don't even wanna say anything more, but it was even worse.
art (8/10) the art style was amusing, i really liked the art as well as the action scenes.
sound (8/10) nothing less to be expected from Kaziura Yuki. the soundtracks were superb and supported the scenes very well.
characters (2/10) totally bad. i hate how they try to add more and more harem in the already messed up story. the back stories about the characters were nothing special.
Enjoyment (2/10) i didnt enjoy it at all. however its a biased opinion. some people might enjoy it, as there are many harem/romance fans out there who dont care about the story. the point that SAO already has 7.5+ ratings proves that.
Overall (4/10) the reason that it got 4 instead of 2 in overall section was because of its sound and art. personally i hated it.
