There is a lot to like in this anime, but I feel that it doesn't make the most of it. For instance, the anime starts out with a couple of episodes that are laugh out loud funny. As the series progresses, it stops being funny or at least as funny and as often. At the climaxes halfway and at the end, there are a couple of great fight scene featuring the protagonist. Yet these fight's are absent much of the second half of the series in favor of short stories featuring minor characters. Many people in the city have cool and interesting super powers. Yet the show only shows you the powers of a fraction of the people who have them and makes many people have week powers. This leaves the watcher with a lot on short arcs that focus on character development. The character's are likable and the messages are sweet, but that's not exactly what I'm here for. Overall, it's an anime who enjoyment varies from arc to arc and which is occasional outstanding and hints at being more consistently so.
