This anime is a great exploration of a variety of people's lives and emotions with a meta-plot that I find the series could have done without. This is a very surprising anime, a very unique anime, and one whose episodes are of varying quality. I find the stories of the individual episodes to be great but I find the overarching narrative strange and ultimately unsatisfying. It also has my favorite opening I've seen thus far. Watching this, I didn't quite buy all of the emotional responses of the characters, but I bought most of them which were very well thought out and made sense given the character's past. This isn't the greatest anime ever, but it is still very enjoyable.
