Mixed Feelings
This will be short since this anime did not meet any of my expectations.

Story - First arc of this season failed to grab my attention. They did a very poor job maintaining the hype surrounding the antagonist (As if there was any to begin with). The plot was weak and predictable, never in my life have I been so accurate with my predictions. The only enjoyable part of this anime were the fighting scenes. I give the SAO franchise a thumbs up for their animation but a thumbs down for the amount of PIS they had in both SAO and SAO II. Deflecting bullets with a sword from close range is just straight up bs. Although, it doesn't beat the japanese forcing letting a kid solve the Death gun mystery.

Character Development - It's like the author doesn't give two F's about the other characters. Kirito needed a nerf more than boost this season. I understand he's the main character but sheesh Mr.Kawahara don't you think he overdue for a nerf. You might as well change his name to Jesus, with all the saving he's doing.

Sinnon was a meh. Her .50 cal sniper is her best feat. I have a fetish for characters that wear snipers (hehe). Her back story is boring and makes no sense. She gets anxious around guns in real life but uses one in the game (-.-).

Asuna is still clueless as to what her role she plays in her relationship with Kirito.

Overall: This season is better than the last. I still can't take the amount of PIS tho. Dodging sniper shot with a sword from is just too much bs for me. And shed some light on the other characters Kawahara, even fodders deserve some love.
