In my case whenever I start a new anime I realise its value right from the very beginning,and this anime in particularly is one of those stories that kept me fascinated throughout the whole show.The unique story, beautiful backgrounds and breathtaking music are making this story one which deserves to be seen.

The pacing of the story is an uprising one, even if it starts slower in the beginning and it has only 22 episodes, the author still managed to show us the main points of the story whithout letting anything behind.It's that kind of story from which you cannot saturate if you see just one episode,it's a show that makes you want to know more and more about what happens next.That's why only after you've seen the last episode you will feel fed up because you managed to find all the answers you were looking for, but unfortunately even if you feel fed up you will still have a whole in your heart.
Even if the story is mostly a sad one most of my tears that i shed were out of admiration and happiness for the hardships and the effort that those two teenagers struggled to overcome in order to fulfill their dreams.With all this, another characteristic of this anime is the ability to bring us back with our feet on earth and reminding us that life is not always pink ,but unfortunately we have only one, thats why no matter what happens we have to accept the past, in order to become stronger in the present, to be capable to look above towards the shining light of the future.

The setting of the animation is like torn from the real world and the bright coloured pictures are creating the most beautiful and breathtaking landscapes that I've only seen in the movie "5 centimeters per second".
The bright colours of this anime symbolizes the hope and happiness while the dark ones symbolizes the sadness and despair of the main protagonists.
Although people don't have the ability to see the world in any other way this anime is giving us a new type of vision allowing the sounds that express the singers emotions to catch color.
The desing of the characters are in perfect sync with the story especially after the particularities that were added like defined lips unlike other animations where instead of the mouth you can see only a single line or the fact that the main characters are wearing glasses which fits perfectly with their role of classical music singers.
Soundtrack: 9
The main characteristic of this anime and also the theme around which the whole story is floating is the soundtrack that shows us how beautifull and full of feelings can be the classical music.
In a world where the new generation is listening only to dubstep,rock and pop this anime can be considered a breath of fresh air which reminds us of this old yet still young and beautifull style of music.
The character voices fits perfectly whith their design strengthening their personality.

Although every character has diffrent features the string that ties them all together is the love for music.Even if Kousei is shown to us like a typical teenager caught in a depression after his mother death unable to play the piano and without any purpose in life.Although his interest in music was quenched but the flame he instilled in the hearts of those who were impressed by his music continued to burn , and the first one who made the first step to relight his flame was Kaori a young and beautiful girl who loves to play the violin and is of the same age with him which at the first glance seems like a typical girl who likes to have fun , and seems to live by the motto "Carpe Diem" but with a closer look you can see that her life is not what it seems to be.In this aspect Kousei and Kaori are two individuals who are meant to meet,help and influence one another with the purpose of bringing out the best of eachother.

As I said at the beggining "Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso" is an anime that I found very enjoyable to watch.It is a story filled with good and bad, with stories full of joy but also sadness but nevertheless exactly these kind of things are making this anime to be so interesting to watch.
