Its strange how wonderfully ignorant we are of the concept of death. We know the implications of death, the causes of death but do we really know death? How would one even experience death without experiencing life initially? We as humans fear death as it is mysterious, unknown but the thing we're most afraid of is the regret. Have I done enough? Have I said enough?

This anime uses the concept of death exceptionally well. It shows the desperation of a person wanting to live, how much we yearn to live. Yet, what would you feel if it were merely a test? A sort of entrance exam for what comes next.

Although this series revolves around the concept of life and death, it is certainly captivating as you can relate, at some point in the series, with the cast present to you. Self sacrifice, willingness to do the unthinkable. It shows us how far one would go if pushed to a corner, or better yet when they still have something left behind.

This anime presents a lesson to all us viewers, as cliche as it may sound, it tells us to live our lives. It tells us to live life to the fullest, to resolve the unresolved and most importantly, live a life so that we can finally say to ourselves sincerely, 'Well done'.

I can honestly say, if you ever feel like you're stumped in a crossroad, if you're soul-searching, if you ever felt all was lost or in the worst case, considering suicide, this is the anime for you. The impact would be tremendous and i daresay life changing. All in all, it certainly is an eye-opener and a series worth watching in my opinion.
