Back in the year 2000, Mamoru Hosoda has directed a Digimon movie called "Our War Game", that by itself is a great movie but that is not for this review.

In 2009, Mamoru Hosoda came back to the story of 'A virus has taken over the internet and some kids have to save it with their internet based powers' that he did so well in "Our War Game". But this time it's a little different.
Mamoru Hosoda has taken that plot and amped it up to 11 in Summer Wars.

While in "Our War Game", the characters had their development already in the original Digimon Adventure series, Summer Wars had character development to almost every character in it's short amount of time.

As with all of his movies, Mamoru Hosoda has put a lot of effort to make this movie look beautiful, and he succeed in doing so. While the parts inside of OZ has some of the best action sequences i have seen, it also has a very unique art style, with weird character designs and red lines instead of the usual black lines.

Overall, Summer Wars in an amazing piece of brilliance like any other movie by Mamoru Hosoda, and if you haven't already, you have to see it.
