After finishing the first season and to confirm this, I said "I'll see it, nothing could be worse than the first season," how wrong I was...

I will like to say that Ishida was right to want to change the path of the series, but no. I admit that at first the story was based on something interesting ¿Kaneki going to Aogiri? ¿What he plans? ¿What will happen? things like that, but while the chapters passed, I saw something move from the "interesting" to "ok", to "WTF?!!" and finally to the "appalling". Appalling, yes, thus I would describe Tokyo Ghoul √A

Let's start with the story: Kaneki goes to Aogiri ... And that's all! Apart from that fact, it was not anything else. ¿Then what was the rest of the anime? the rest was a lot of situations, mostly random, where they put a lot of characters for no reason and for do fanservice with fights and pseudo-gore. Throughout we see Kaneki doing "missions" to Aogiri whose fundaments never said, ¡it's not even explained why Kaneki left Anteiku! they mentioned it as sometthing personal, but never with any solid purpose. Then the "history" becomes something like a gang fight, with those of Anteiku by their side, the CCG and a lot of strange people who did not even bother to present ... The end was the crown. It could be said well, actually the second season had no solid plot, which is the same as not having.

Another point is the characters. As I said, most were pure characters who got into any random situation and then not seeing them again ¿What was the point of that? ¿Fanservice? ¿To create "mystery" situations?. There were also other characters who, although they appeared more often, did not have enough space for a good development, such as Amon and Akira. Kaneki... well, compared to the first Season he got better a little, only because he is now more badass with his skills and is no longer another Shinji Ikari (although at times it was coming out that way again), Touka did NOTHING throughout the series, those of Anteiku only served for Meat Cannon and many of the GCC to make them "heroes" and then lament their deaths... Finally for discard my favorite character (aside from Amon and Akira) was the cute Hinami. Even she looks to have grown and matured from the first season, it can be said that their development is worth all the rest...

Perhaps the worst was that in the end, the series did not fix the problems coming from its first season. Plot holes, things unexplained ¿Why the Ghouls can only drink coffee? ¿What was the origin of the different districts and because they fight? etc. The animation also played a great trick this time. But surely the best was the sound, there were emotional tracks and very consistent at the scene, even made poor action scenes look better...

In conclusion: Tokyo Ghoul √A came from a poor first season, with this new original season, it had many opportunities to get better, but it did not at all. History -even more- inconsistent, and an incredible amount of characters for anything interesting and memorable. I repeat, if I had to describe this anime with one word, it would be "Appalling".
