Before we start please note that this is my first review, so please excuse me if its a total blunder. OH! and also there might be spoilers.

On we go.

Every now and then there comes an anime that no one expected to be released. The anime in question is Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu (or Parasyte: The Maxim) based on the manga "Kiseijuu" by Iwaaki, Hitoshi.

The Story 10/10

Although there is a lot of anime using the topic of alien "invasions", Kiseijuu seems to do the topic more justice than any other. I enjoyed how the show didn't turn Shinichi into the whiny character that everyone seems to hate, instead making him deal with what has a happened to him and moving on. The ending was sort of lackluster not to say it was a bad ending, to me it just felt to good (if that makes any sense).

The Art 9/10

The animation and character designs are stunning, MADhouse does an incredible job as always. The one thing that did bother me was the cgi. Whenever there are too many people to draw they are animated in cgi, don't get me wrong the cgi wasn't bad in any way, it was just distracting.

Sound 10/10

The opening themes was great, usually i find myself skipping over the opening as to save time, this time such wasn't the case. The OST fit every scene perfectly, i particularly enjoyed the dubstep track mostly due to my own personal taste in music. Now the ending theme while enjoyable, did not hold my attention for too long.

Character 10/10

Kiseijuu like much of the other anime I've followed weekly has kept me on the edge of my seat. I'd like to partly acknowledge the characters for that. Migi was fantastic often said to be the breakout character and i agree, even for being the emotionless and rational alien he still felt very lovable. Shinichi the main character is and will forever be one of my favourite anime characters, mostly because of the way he dealt with the situations that arose. All the supporting characters were given enough screen time and development to be believable and relatable.

Enjoyment 10/10

Ill admit, i didn't watch this show from the beginning. Which gave me enough time to binge-watch half of the show, making me much more excited for the episodes to come. In short i followed this series with a burning passion and enjoyed every frame of it.

Overall 10/10

This is a great anime for those who enjoy the sci-fi/Horror genre... Actually scratch that, this is a great show that i recommend everyone give a shot.
