When the Fall 2014 season was out, i didn't have any any to watch on Thursdays. So, I tried out this anime: Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso. I did not regret this choice because it turned out to be what you would call a masterpiece.

The story seems to be pretty banal at first, but the way it is developed makes it impressive. I don't want to spoil anything, and for that reason, if you want to know what this anime is about, I will refer you to the synopsis given on this webpage. Anyway, the story deserves a 10/10 for its development.

Next, the art. If I were to rate the art based on my opinion, it would be labeled with an 8, but in fact, if I were to base myself on objective criteria, the art of this anime clearly deserves a 9. The lines aren't too rash, the animation is rather smooth compared to other anime, and the 3D objects in the anime (the piano and sometimes, the environment) blend perfectly in the drawn parts of the anime, surprisingly -- most 3D objects in anime stand out a lot.

The sound tracks in Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso are marvelous. This last sentence comes from both my opinion and from an objective point of view.
I am not a classical music lover; I am a metal head. Yes, you read that correctly: I am someone who listens to metal, and yet, I was able to appreciate and love the music in each episode. In conclusion, the sound deserve a 10/10.

The characters are very interesting in Your Lie in April. Their personalities are very diverse, hence bringing some spice into the anime. Not only the characters are interesting, but the character development is even more interesting. Interesting enough to grab a rating of 10/10.

I pretty much enjoyed the anime. Though I never waited eagerly every week for Thursday, this anime still ended up marking my anime history.

I recommend Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso to everyone: I usually don't watch romance and drama stuff, but it managed to captivate me a lot.
