I was online, looking for some good horror animes to watch. Someone thought to suggest Pupa, and I was a bit skeptical but looked into it anyway. I mean, what would I lose? Well, I was definitely wrong. My dignity? Pretty sure I lost that the moment I turned on the first episode of this hot mess. Usually, I would have a fit if an anime were only four minutes per episode. Anime deserves so much more! 24 minutes an episode is barely enough. But with Pupa, I was more than relieved to see that there were only four minutes per episode.
Story 2/10
Despite being awful and lacking a lot of everything, Pupa had a plot, just not a good one. Whoever thought that incest and cannibalism went together probably didn't have too much of a brain. Actually, maybe this person's idea was good, but it just didn't translate too well on paper. Forget it, I'm not going to try to sugarcoat it. It's just bad. Not only was the plot bad,but it was never fully explained. Maybe because there were only four minutes to an episode?

This will probably be the nicest thing I have to say about Pupa, but the art wasn't horrible. It wasn't amazing either, but it wasn't horrible.

Oh yes, the awful sounds of a young cannibal eating her brother's flesh, what could be better? Probably anything. Every time she was about to eat him, I would cringe and just wait for it to be over. It's rare that I have a problem with the sounds that a gruesome anime has in it, but this was something else. Something that I never want to hear again.

Did I enjoy watching this tale of two siblings' rather awkward interactions? No, I did not. I did not enjoy hearing this little girl lustfully crying out "Onii-chan", each time she took a bite of his flesh.

Oh how I wish I could rank this show lower than a 1. Pupa does not deserve my recognition and I really suggest you avoid it at all costs.
