I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed this show. And I can understand why so many of you really dislike Lucky Star. It's simple-minded, a bit pointless, and has no heavy duty plot. But sometimes that's all you need. I don't typically watch these types of plot-less shows but sometimes I need a break from those epic, mind-blowing, fast paced dramas. Lucky Star has a way of providing just what I need when wanting to watch something simple, but also leaves me laughing out loud at all the little things.
I believe that Lucky Star is actually a great representation of every day life
...
of bored teenagers. The characters talk about things that shouldn't matter, always procrastinate, and get jealous of their friend's lovely curves. There are also a lot of references to other animes, and chances are, that if you don't watch a lot of anime, you will not get these references. Another reason I absolutely love this show is because it's kind of a parody of itself as well. If you watch the endings of each episode, when "Lucky Channel" comes on, you may or may not notice the little side remarks about what the characters do or say. I love this show and I think it's suited for anybody.
I don't think there is anything wrong with this anime, in fact, in may be one of my favorites. The fact that it is so simple makes me laugh a lot more. It's a show that you will be able to turn on, skip 3 episodes, and not need an explanation of what happened. The characters are also all hilarious in their own way and are very similar to a lot of people in real life. The scenarios are accurate to life, and things that every teenager goes through. I enjoy the fact that there are only four main characters, as opposed to several main characters. I'm not trying to beat up on animes that are sophisticated and have a lot of plots and characters, in fact, those are some of the best animes! I'm just saying that sometimes it's really nice to have a mellow show that is tailored for anyone and everyone.

I didn't hate this show, however, I wasn't completely taken by it. I'm super into musical, high school anime, but this wasn't A+ amazing for me. I enjoyed almost every minute of it, and all of the songs were nice, but I found myself being able to predict everything and there wasn't a lot of climax to it.
I did watch K-On a while before this one and found a lot of similarities. I may have thought that is was repetitive of K-On, a show that I really enjoyed. The characters are similar, the plot is similar, and even the
...
art is similar! A little too much for me though. Don't get me wrong, I appreciated this show and all of it's character developments and little symbolisms. Sometimes, it got a bit too raunchy for me.
The story around this show is nothing special. A couple of girls form an idol group because their school is going to close if they don't get more students. However, it did evolve a little bit. You could definitely see that the characters were shy and timid at first but then openly change because they each start to feel more comfortable around each other. It's a cute little friendship type thing.
When I first started watching this I thought the art was super cute, but as it went on, it just wasn't anything special anymore. I did like the designs of their outfits though.
It's not that I didn't like this show, I really did! But it wasn't one of those shows where I felt something, or learned something from it. I wasn't expecting any of that, but it would have been nice.

This show is barely an anime, and deserves to be called nothing more than a piece of garbage.
I was online, looking for some good horror animes to watch. Someone thought to suggest Pupa, and I was a bit skeptical but looked into it anyway. I mean, what would I lose? Well, I was definitely wrong. My dignity? Pretty sure I lost that the moment I turned on the first episode of this hot mess. Usually, I would have a fit if an anime were only four minutes per episode. Anime deserves so much more! 24 minutes an episode is barely enough. But with Pupa, I
...
was more than relieved to see that there were only four minutes per episode.
Story 2/10
Despite being awful and lacking a lot of everything, Pupa had a plot, just not a good one. Whoever thought that incest and cannibalism went together probably didn't have too much of a brain. Actually, maybe this person's idea was good, but it just didn't translate too well on paper. Forget it, I'm not going to try to sugarcoat it. It's just bad. Not only was the plot bad,but it was never fully explained. Maybe because there were only four minutes to an episode?
Art 4/10
This will probably be the nicest thing I have to say about Pupa, but the art wasn't horrible. It wasn't amazing either, but it wasn't horrible.
Sound 1/10
Oh yes, the awful sounds of a young cannibal eating her brother's flesh, what could be better? Probably anything. Every time she was about to eat him, I would cringe and just wait for it to be over. It's rare that I have a problem with the sounds that a gruesome anime has in it, but this was something else. Something that I never want to hear again.
Enjoyment 1/10
Did I enjoy watching this tale of two siblings' rather awkward interactions? No, I did not. I did not enjoy hearing this little girl lustfully crying out "Onii-chan", each time she took a bite of his flesh.
Overall 1/10
Oh how I wish I could rank this show lower than a 1. Pupa does not deserve my recognition and I really suggest you avoid it at all costs.

There were so many aspects of this show that I enjoyed, and some things I didn't. I didn't have high expectations of an anime that I knew nothing about going into it, and a cliche that had been used several times over and over. Before I knew it, I had finished this series in less than a day and wanted more!
Story 9/10
As I said before, this is a cliche used often, and I've seen it all before. But never like this. This anime put a twist on the average "girl-likes-boy-but-boy-doesn't-like-girl". In fact, this anime took all of that and reversed it completely! The abusive and
...
emotionless one was the girl, and the semi-annoying, head-over-heels character was the boy. Now, I'm only pointing these details out because, of all the romance animes I've watched, the timid character who seemed to be in love was in fact, the girl. I love how they took the stereotype of the obsessive girl and abusive boy and totally turned it around.
Art 10/10
I loved everything about the art in this show. When I wasn't wishing I was Mizutani Shizuku because she's so darn cute, I was dreaming of the day when I found my Yoshida Haru.
Character 8/10
All of these characters had so much depth!! Including the chicken! They did such a good job at keeping Shizuku emoitionless, and at some times, really rude. But while keeping her a certain way, the watcher also found out the reasons as to WHY she became this way. I'm also really impressed at how the main girl character did NOT have huge tits and boys lining up to bang her. It's really difficult to find a good romance anime without the female protagonist having huge bazoongas, but this anime did those shows justice!
Overall 8/10
I really enjoyed this anime and I would probably watch it again. The only reason I would give it an 8/10 is because there were ONLY 13 EPISODES. I neeeed more!!

I was so close to giving this anime a 10/10, because it was worthy of it. I gave Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu a 9/10 because I had to be realistic: was this anime everything I had dreamed of? No, it wasn't. But it was so close to it. Many people probably didn't like it as much as I did, and I understand that, but I will always have a spot in my heart for this show. Now onto the review!
Story 8/10
This portion of the review gets an eight of ten, because of the mere fact that there was not a third season. I was delighted
...
to know that Haruhi got a second season, and even a movie! But I wanted more. I wanted to know exactly what happened if Haruhi were to find out about her powers, and everything after that. The plot was outstanding in my eyes, but it lacked...something. That something might have been more depth. Yes, the story and plot was as detailed as can be, and extraordinary, and complicated, and amazing! But still, there were many stories that were introduced once and never touched again. I wanted to find out more about these what if's! Not going to lie, I was a little bummed out to finish this series and not find out just a little more about each of these characters' lives outside of school.
Art 10/10
In my opinion, the art was completely beautiful. I'm not really going to go super into detail in this section of the review because everyone has different opinions, and not everyone is going to agree with me in my opinion that the moe style was amazing.
Sound 10/10
This is such a big deal to me and I have no clue why. I just really enjoy a good opening, a good soundtrack, and a good ending song. This had all of it. Both intros were so enjoyable, and catchy, I was humming along with every episode! The soundtrack was good as well, which means, it set a mood. When I heard each soundtrack, I was taken to the world of Haruhi. It was nice.
Character 9/10
Had it not been for Mikuru, I would have given this section a whopping 10/10. All of the characters(except Mikuru :p) were amazing and unique. A lot of people don't like Haruhi because of her annoying tendencies, but that just made me love her even more.I loved Haruhi's character because she wasn't your typical protagonist. Haruhi showed that not every female character is cute and likable. I thought that Haruhi was unique and quirky. Kyon was also a fun character to have around. He was the sarcastic guy, but in some lights, he was kind-hearted and put up with Haruhi's trouble. All in all, none of these characters bothered me enough to quit watching the show, and honestly I didn't like Mikuru 99% because of her English voice actor. That being said, voice acting is also a huge factor on whether I watch the show or not. A lot of the times, I watch anime in Japanese with subtitles because the English dubs are so intolerable. I'm going to make a new category for "Voice Acting", because it is a key detail in my ratings for animes. (P. S. I guess that voice acting would typically go under the category of "sound" but when I think of sound I think of music, and I think Voice Acting, for me at least, should have it's own section because it's important...to me)
Voice Acting 9/10
I have a lot of problems with English voice actors. So many times do I quit watching an anime in English JUST because the voice actor will take on that role of high pitched cute girl sound, because they think they have too. I was surprised that I actually enjoyed all the voices, except Mikuru's. There we go again with the voice actor overdoing it. All in all, the voices were exceptionally good.
Enjoyment 10/10
I enjoyed every single moment of this show, from Kyon's sassy remarks, to the Endless Eight. The spirit this anime had was incredible and I want more!!
Overall 9/10
I adored this!

This series is actually horrible. It took me more than a couple times to get into this anime. As a spin-off of Blood + I did come into this series with high expectations. My first impression was that it was...interesting. I kept watching because I wanted to see how CLAMP would try to pull it off. I gave it a second chance because I liked the art style, but my opinion on that was quickly changed. What I will say is, don't come into this anime expecting it to be anything like Blood +. The only real connection I can find is that both protagonist's
...
names are Saya.
Characters 3/10
The heroine of Blood + is likable, and powerful, while the heroine of Blood-C is weak and definitely does not keep her promises. As awful as the main character was, the other characters did not do any justice whatsoever. I am only giving the characters' portion a three out of ten because, surprisingly, there was one decent character whom I enjoyed throughout the series. Only one.
Story 2/10
I didn't see an actual explanation of what was going on until about episode three. So until that episode three, I was watching this girl kill these random statue monsters without knowing what they were or even why they were there. I never thought I would actually have to guess what was going on. And all of these things she was doing was probably not legal, or logical. I honestly don't find a huge man-eating bunny to be very relevant, because first of all, bunnies are cute and secondly, I half expected what Saya was to be killing to be vampires or at least something mildly scary. The worst part about it, is that when I did finally figure out what was going on, I was still confused. That being said, the way they explained things in this show was utterly disconcerting and caused confusion.
Art 2/10
I have to admit, I actually really liked the art when I saw it the first time. I thought that Saya looked super adorable with her glasses and long black hair. And then, I saw their bodies. I'm sorry, but I'm not too fond of lanky, disproportionate, stick bodies. Enough said.
Overall, I would have to rate this show a 2/10 at best. I enjoyed some parts of it, like when the evil bunnies ate everyone and when the show was finally over.
