I was looking forward to watching Guilty Crown, because it sounded like it had what i really enjoy: A world that differs from ours and what happens, because it is different. Uh, going by that, this is about as accurate as watching a monkey play Video games and what happens because its not a human. Here's why.
Guilty Crown is ordered largly into 2 arcs, i will try not to spoiler anything, lets see how this goes.
The first arc is the "usual" Government vs. Terrorists, yadah yadah.
It also feels like a musical with MUCH singing in it, bah.
It is well made and offers some interesting concepts why their world is different, but instead of explaining things, it just keeps on pushing the story...you would need to accept what happened. There is little to no explanation why someone decides on what, other than "she/he knows something".
Then the second arc comes around and hits you like a truck. The second arc is also really mature in comparison to the first one. The thing what makes me give this a 5 in story is just that is has no logic at all. The second arc consists of a clusterfuck of Flashbacks/someone suddenly going crazy/Decision out of the blue/"oh hey wait this character is important" and "Suddenly this happens, deal with it".
It sometimes feels as if you were reading a book, but only every 20th page.
The second arc climaxes really beautifully in the end tho, logic aside.

Im not an Art Critic, but this has to be one of the best animated series ever, beautiful landscapes and many details make me give it a 10 tho :)

The soundtrack felt unimpressive and there were too many vocal ballade styled songs all in all, but ok. The great thing about the Soundtrack is the usage in the anime tho. It is really used well to convey stuff that happens, so i give a SOLID 7.

The Characters in Guilty Crown are really detailed. Most Characters have depth and they differ from other characters really well. I can't understand the characters reasoning most of the times tho, so 7.

I really had fun watching this, altho to the end it felt more like "finishing what started" than watching it because i enjoyed it. For something that bears no logic i enjoyed it really good tho, so 8.

Overall, Guilty Crown will make you think about certain problems, but provide a bullshit solution until you stop thinking about it and realize its trolling you. If you can accept that Guilty Crown is not taking itself seriously, you will have your fun with this. Its very good really :D
