First Impression:
The first thought that came to mind when I started watching this anime was, “Cute”. It is mainly a romance and comedy anime. You can tell by first glance that this is an anime directed toward a more female audience. The plot is revealed rather quickly and is easy to understand. It doesn’t leave room for confusing and makes for a more relaxing watch. The only ‘First Impression’ down side I had was the the lack of an ‘originality’ vibe. Though I have not seen an anime with this particular storyline, it feels slightly played out.
Despite the lack of this vibe, however, I did enjoy this anime.
Enjoyments:
What I enjoyed, and you might as well, was the expressions of the Genre(s). The romance was well paced and enjoyable as well as the Comedy. I, personally, am very picky when it comes to what makes me laugh, however this anime did have me laughing time and time again.
I also enjoyed the two main characters (though my favorite is Tomoe) as well as the storyline/plot. Despite it lacking the ‘originality’ vibe, it was still a very appealing plot to me. I enjoyed the struggles that the main female character had because of her humanity, as well as the pace of the entire anime as a whole.
Last but not least, I also did enjoy the animation style. It wasn’t too extravagant and yet it was well done in its own simplistic way.
Downsides:
I have already stated one downside which was the lack of the anime feeling original. Aside from not feeling very original, it also lacked suspense. It did not seem to have that gripping sensation that some animes have. You might know the ones I am talking about; the ones that cause you to keep saying, “Just one more episode” after every single one you watch.
Though I did enjoy the anime’s romance, which I thought to be cute, was a little cliché. It was mildly predictable; part of that simplistic aspect I mentioned previously.
The last downside I have to mention is the lack of brain power it takes. I, personally, like an anime that takes a little more time to be figured out. Despite this, as well as the other mentioned downsides, I thoroughly enjoyed this anime and these ‘downsides’ weren’t all that large of an issue. Don’t let them get in the way of being what makes you enjoy a little gem like this.
Other Information:
Overall I truly loved this anime. I thought it was adorable and will definitely be watching the second season. I enjoyed it so much that I am actually reading the Manga. It is within my taste (though I know everyone has different ‘buds’). Though I give this anime an eight out of ten, you should decide for yourself if you enjoyed(will enjoy) this anime.
