I did not find bad points here, but that doesn´t mean it is perfect. I would consider this anime good but nothing more than that. Why do i say such thing? Well i will explain it on each topic.
Story: (6/10). The story is not bad. But it is not original nor creative. In fact, this story is something that probably you already saw in movies, tv shows or even in other animes. On my case, i'm tired of it. The city guy who is angry with life so he goes living in some rural city and learns the value of friendship and all that kind of stuff .. meh over explored.
Although we do have some nice moral lessons that's why i gave it 6/10. For a slice life it's a good show and tell us important things.
When i started watching this show, i expected something completely new. I was expecting some nice deep relation between Kanda and Naru(our main characters). While Handa is a 23 years old calligrapher who was mad with his own life after getting a bad grade from the director of an exposition, Naru is a 6 years old girl who just stared her life and is still innocent to all kind of dificulties that life can bring.
But ... meh they blowed it up. I think they had something great there, they could had gone much more deep into Handa feelings and making them contrast with Naru's feelings but.. as i said they just did the usual. We see him adapting to the town and nothing else besides that. This does not mean that they failed, it just could be better.
Art: (9/10): The landscape, the sunshine, the calligraphy that Handa does.. everything looks excepcional. The characters also look great, and the design fits perfectly with their personality. Especially Naru, it just looks so nice.
Sound: (7/10): The soundtrack looks nice, but it isn´t nothing that we will remember in a near future. The opening is cool but the rest is just normal.
Character: (7/10): Well they are nice, they look nice, BUT THEY ARE NOT ORIGINAL. We don´t have anything new ! And we just see development in Handa .. the rest has a really weak development. Well for 12 episodes long we couldn´t expect more .. but still i can´t give it a good rate because of it. All the characters were copied from other films or whatever .. Nothing new at all. I was having a deja'vu while i was watching this. Again, this doesn´t mean that they are bad, but they aren´t good either to deserve a better rate.
Enjoyment: (9/10). Well Well finally we got here. I think even though not being excepcional, this anime excels pretty well in terms of entertainment. The comedy is good, the enviroment is awesome(I actually felt or at least imagined how it would be like if i was in the same position as Handa.) We can feel the peace of the town and all the good feelings that we can take out of there. Plus having in each episode, important lessons that can help us in our daily lives is actually pretty interesting.
Overall, this anime is good but we can´t deny that it has nothing new to show. Although i advise you all to watch it because it is a nice show and really can entertains us well. But don´t expect something deep out of here. In fact this anime does not have any deep moment, it didn´t reached my heart in anyway, i mean there is just comedy and slice life. No drama, no romance, nothing related to it exists here. So if you are looking for something like that, don´t try this one.
