Guilty Crown is an anime set in something of a dystopian society, it centers around main character and normal school boy, Shu Oma. After the spreading of the apocalypse pandemic after what was known as lost christmas. After this Japan was taken over and ruled by the GHQ. Our main protagonist, Shu, manages to obtain a rare and great power that allows him to reach into people's hearts and souls, pulling out a weapon or something that represents their personality and themselves as a whole. Shu is also a character who keeps to himself and is quite a shy person, until he meets Yuzuha Inori

Now onto my review:
I personally absolutely loved this anime, the voice acting was well done, the characters well developed and the art was also amazing, when I first started watching it, I was skeptical, I'm not going to lie this anime is not for everyone, but I would definitely give it a try.

The character development is well done, as the plot moves forward you notice small yet significant changes in each character, and some stages they become completely different to when you were first introduced to them, some characters will undergo more drastic changes than others as well. For example: Shu undergoes major changes and personality changes as he goes through the hell that Japan has become.

The art and voice acting in this anime were both very well done, each of them having their own ups and downs, the sound was well down and the voice acting was pretty good, but they could've done better with the soundtrack and openings.

Overall this anime has somewhat of a dark premise, but it shows what happens when a teenager is put under too much pressure, having to cooperate with his friends as well as a terrorist group. The power that he's given isn't much of a blessing for most of the anime, but also a curse. This anime has some downpoints such as the fact that it starts off slower and it takes a while to get going with the plot, but once it kicks in, it's fast paced and an amazing anime.
