Hmm, I'm gonna summarize my review, and this is my very first review as well.
The Pros of the anime, it followed what Oreki's nature is, the energy conserving guy. You won't see either romance in him or being active (even though you may see in other episodes that he is somehow "curious" about Chitanda). Still at the end, he stayed in that nature. Next is how his outlook on things changing, from grey to a colored one and that is Chitanda's role. She serves as a trigger to release some of Oreki's energy (do not think of this as love in Oreki's POV) to do some stuff like thinking, solving, etc. Next is how he deduce some mysteries and problems. In other detective stories or anime, you can see that they ensure that they come up with a theory that is 100% complete but here you can see that there are instances where he falls short, uses the theory of his fellow friends and etc. Last is how the story is changing Oreki's life to a rose red or whatever you call that little by little that's why this anime deserves a season 2. Art is good, I like it especially those flower effects around Chitanda. Sound is also okay.
The Cons. First, I don't like how the story skipped some events, activities, time, etc. I know some of you like it but this is my opinion. What if they added a few arc or a twist to make it more thrilling to watch and what Oreki is really capable of. Next is how they make Chitanda too much annoying (I know you may get mad when saying this but please bear with me. It's my opinion). It sometimes get on my nerves on how she interact with others. What I want is for her to be less annoying. Next is Mayaka. I know she is in the Manga Club but don't you want her to contribute more in the Classic's club? Finally, what if they add more members? Like make them 5 or 6 who really wants to be in the club?
That's what I want, to add more twists and stories that is why I want this anime to have a season 2. Find out Chitanda's personal reasons in the club, Satoshi's goal and true nature, capabilities of Oreki, Mayaka's contribution and the club's secret and how will it grow.
