Lucky Star, a slice of life, parody, comedy anime getting as close to an otaku's life while keeping the situation as close to reality as possible.

This anime depicts the daily life of high school girl and otaku, Konata Izumi as she spends her daily life studying for tests, working, shopping with friends, watching anime, reading manga, playing online games with her teacher and other normal otaku stuff.
It is a purely comedy anime and most of the situations are relatable to.

Story:
Not much of a story. The whole series goes from their first year of high school to graduation but that's not what's important. The episodes are divided into parts, each part has a different plot/story.
It takes some references from other popular anime which ,if you've seen, will definitely enjoy. Anime like Haruhi Suzumiya is mostly referenced to in this series.
The situations in each episode are as real as they can get. You'll find yourself saying "Woah, that's exactly how it happens." after watching some episodes. This relation to the reality is what makes it worth watching and fun.

Characters:
There are 4 main characters in the anime to start off. Additional characters enter as the series progresses. Let's talk about the main characters here;
-Konata Izumi: High school Otaku. Online game player. Studies for test the day before. Copies homework from her friends. Gives anime/manga references to real life situations. Funny, short, blue haired otaku.
-Kagami Hiiragi: The intelligent, realistic friend of Konata who also reads books and sometimes light novels. Not as interested in anime as her friend. A tsundere who makes the series really fun to watch. Think of her as your friend who sticks with you but is closer to reality and focusses on studies and stuff instead of anime.
-Tsukasa Hiiragi: Kagami's sister and similar to Konata in terms of not studying. She doesn't watch much anime like her sister. She is the innocent type and air-head type of character. Adding fun to the series through her innocence is her role
-Miyuki: The intelligent, rich lady type friend of Konata. She is the ideal high school girl. Studies hard, good at sports, well endowed. The funny side might be her moe factor as Konata points out. She is a bit clumsy and afraid to go to the dentist.

Side characters enter the series and make it more fun.

Sound:
The opening dance is pretty cool. A full version of the dance is performed in episode 24. The opening song is catchy and the dance is pretty awesome. It made me watch every opening. Though the ending is nothing special and shows the door of a Karaoke room where the 4 friends are singing.

Art:
The art might be the biggest turn back sign for people. But I think that this type of art perfectly compliments the anime. It might look like Chibi but it is not. It's just that the heads are way bigger than usual but the characters still look well designed. The backgrounds are nothing that special. The major focus of this anime is the comedy and situations so there is not much focus on the art.

Enjoyment:
It is really enjoyable. When I first watched it, I stopped after 3 episodes and watched other anime. But I made a resolve to watch it completely and I was not disappointed. It is really enjoyable, laughable and a relatable show. I mostly fin myself in the situations shown in this anime. An example, when I give an anime reference to my friends who haven't seen that anime or when I'm copying files to my computer and the "Time remaining" changes from 30 mins to 60 mins. These kind of situations make me burst out laughing. And I'm sure you will too because there are tonnes of other situations like this.

Overall, I love this anime. Watched it 4 times. Will watch it again when free. I would recommend this to anyone looking for some non-serious anime to pass the time with a blast.
