Golden Time. To get it out of the way and make it very clear, I love this show. I could very well put it in my favorite anime list with ease. It has some of the best characters, character interaction and honest to god one of the best portrayals of a romantic relationship I have ever seen, in anime or otherwise.

Does it have flaws? Of course it does. You could say that (not spoilers, but heads up) the final episode is a bit stuffed with content, that the scene at the bridge doesn't make sense (I personally interpreted in a way that I think makes total sense, but that's just me) and that (maybe spoilers) ghost Banri is kind of out of place. These are for the most part, valid complaints. Hell if you hate amnesia story lines you may dislike the show altogether.

But even the best things have faults, but they are still the best because everything else they do makes the faults not be there. I mentioned the romantic portrayal and I wasn't exaggerating. Banri and Kouko's relationship, from the minute they meet till the last scene of the show is incredible to watch. A lot has to do with the writing and the characters. Some of the scenes that these two share are so, to not have any other word to really express it, human. When they talk casually, when they kiss, when they fight, every moment is in a way so realistic and honest and makes the relationship such and incredible experience to behold. One of the greatest things about it, is that we don't just see the classic "they got together, happiness", no, this show goes deep into a relationship between young adults and the challenges that people go through.

Other than that (which honestly, if an amazing romance doesn't make you want to watch a romance anime, I honestly don't know what to tell you) the other characters are also very likable and again, very human. They go through situations that I have gone through or seen other people go through and it still keeps the drama engaging. That is a really hard balance to find, but the writers do a great job with it.

The art style is very beautiful and well animated, as to expect from JC Staff. It's not perfect (JC Staff doesn't have the budget of Kyoto Animation), but
I recommend anybody who read the description of the show and found a minimal amount of interest to see this, you owe it to yourself.
