Preliminary (5/26 eps)
I was looking forward to watching this anime, since so many people liked it. I watched the first episode and I was so bored, so I decided to watch the next episodes to see if it got better... it didn't.

Story 3/10
This story is about an all-boys school that becomes a co-ed school, but the school's population is mostly guys. A girl named Misaki wishes that the school was more friendly for girls, so she works her way up to student council president. The male students thinks she is a boy-hating demon, but the teachers and female students look up to her. Like most characters that are Tsundere, she works at a maid cafe, and surprise! Some male from her school, named Usui, finds out about her working there! They obviously like each other, but Misaki has to play hard-to-get. The story was very predictable, and although it sounds interesting, it isn't as good as it sounds. This anime was a hit or miss type, and I honestly think it missed. Some scenes from the anime were down-right weird and awkward.

Art 6/10
I honestly thought the art was pretty cute and good, and it might be the best thing about the anime. I think that they could have drawn Misaki better, and used less chibis since this anime was supposed to be a romance. I would've rated the art a 7, but the way they animated Maid-sama made it look like a shounen, and they could have tried harder on the art of the girls that worked in the maid cafe.

Sound 7/10
The voice acting was good, it sounded somewhat natural. Also, the voices matched the characters well. The SFX also worked with the scenarios and added to the comedic feeling. I didn't really like the opening song, but I can see why other people might like it. It has an up-beat rhythm, but I think the pitch was too high and the singer's voice sounded like it was cracking.

Character 3/10
Oh boy... the way I see it, there's a sadistic girl and a sadistic guy that like each other? The way they made Misaki a male hater was not necessary, for she just wanted to make the school better for girls, but they completely changed it and made it seem like she wanted an all-girls school. Also, even though she is supposedly a tsundere, she works at a maid cafe where she acts deredere(lovey-dovey). Usui is like the average male character in shoujo animes, a tease/sadist. In most shoujos, this usually works, but in maid-sama, it makes Usui look like a jerk and a stalker. Another bad thing about Usui's character is that he suddenly turns into a masochist sometimes? Also, many of the minor characters have the same personality, or similar personalities.

Enjoyment 2/10
This anime was super boring, the jokes aren't even that funny. The scenes where they're supposed to be funny in a sadistic manner didn't make me laugh, and I laugh love sadistic jokes. This anime moves super slowly story-line wise, but the scenes go by way too fast. If they extended the scenes, it would've been much more entertaining.

Overall 4/10
Super boring, would've been a 3 if the art was bad and the voice acting wasn't good. Funny scenes turn into dramatic scenes way too fast. Same goes with romantic scenes, they just turn into dramatic scenes. They show way too many close-ups of their faces that aren't necessary. Things were way too predictable and took away the entertainment factor. I am probably never going to finish this anime because it's boring and doesn't have a story line.
