Golden Time is a jolly good ol' Romcom if you ask me. While I won't call it my favorite Romance story, it was very enjoyable to say the least. The story is not exactly what I consider unique, maybe pseudo-unique, just read the details on the tab above(Details) if you are interested. However, it does a very good job of creating a believable relationship(More or less).
Story: Do you want a typical romcom where the main characters take the entire series to admit they love each other? To date? Well, this ain't one of them. Actually it is solely about an ongoing relationship, with the all the struggles and bs you deal with in a normal one. With the exception of things being blown hella out of proportion. Or in other words, young people romance.
The story still is pretty basic ish and it follows a simple plot which can be read in the detail tab. I enjoyed it for the simple plot and the relationship problems, granted it may not impress some. I mean it didn't impress me greatly, but it was entertaining. For me, entertaining in enough.
Art: Basically, it was basic. Nicely done and attractive looking basic. Still a basic slice of life look to it, nothing non-basic or different. It had above-basic colors and lighting though.
Sound- I don't really remember anything particularly great. The opening and closing songs were good though.
Characters- Honestly, Banri was a pretty typical non-talented and normal teenage boy. Koko was actually interesting, mostly due to the fact she was a little bit obsessive and nuts. Oka Chinami developed somewhat quickly for my tastes. The supporting character Nana was pretty boss. 2-D was really funny.
Enjoyment- I did enjoy it anyways. Regardless of the flaws that you will likely see as you progress through the anime. It is entertaining and at least worth one watch through.
Overall- Personally I would have gave it a 7. The thing is I like happy endings, so I gave another point. I'm pretty lenient when it comes to that. So it is an 8.
