Genshiken is truly an otaku's anime. If you love anime or manga, watching this series will quickly make you feel right at home. No matter what kind of otaku you consider yourself to be, you're sure to feel connected to at least one of the members of the club.

I think this series was a favorite due to the fact that I could sit there and say "That is SO true." Whether it was discussing the newest episode of Kujibiki Unbalance, or making a trip to a dojin con, the guys (and later girls) of Genshiken were always doing something that you wish you had the money to do (if you hadn't before, like myself.)

I haven't read the manga past volume 1, so I can't really do a review of it, but it seems like the basic anime/manga adaption set - Nothing much seems to have changed between the two, although I do think that there were a few anime-only characters later on (I'm not sure about this, so feel free to ignore that last part.)

Without me rambling on, let me end it with this - If you consider yourself a fan of anime, manga, or the Japanese culture at all, give the gang of Genshiken a chance. You won't be disappointed.
