I'll start out by saying that I hold a sweet spot to this anime. I had long fallen out of my casual anime days by the point that I ran into this. Previously I had never known of any classics or what was "good" rather than what was popular. This is the anime that invested faith in me and turned me onto the path of popular anime such as "Cowboy Bebop", "Samurai Champloo" and the list goes on. While the first episode did nothing for me, I highly recommend to keep going if you feel the same way.

I'm not here to tell you what the show is about but more so to say what I thought about it. I really liked the characters and how the plot unfolds. There isn't a lot of character development but there is enough where it's existent. I think the most notable thing is the ending, which is very well made and up for the watcher to interpret. (think Akira, Donnie Darko, The Butterfly Effect.) The last couple episodes are among my favorites of all time. They are THAT good.

Overall this one holds a special spot in my heart (and on my shelf). I'd highly recommend it.
