I really don't know what to say. I'm freshly after the last episode and I have to say that I didn't expect myself to say what I'm about to say... First of, I always decide what score I would give for the anime whilst being in the middle of it. So for example I decided to watch Kill la Kill and I decided to give it a 9/10 while being on episode 12 IF I like the ending. The same thing happened here. I was in the middle of the anime and everything was going pretty well, I liked the story and the romance was pretty.. So I decided that I'll give this anime 9/10 IF the ending will be good/suit me. But something happened. The last... 5? 4? episodes, shook me and I thought I would have to drop the rating to 7-8/10 'cause I didn't like how it was going to end.. But Yuyuko Takemiya (Author of Golden Time) Shook me again in the 2 last episodes, especially the last one and the last seconds of the last one. When the end screen appeared I was left there looking at the screen with a little piece of my heart torn away.. Or at least that's how I feel when I finish a bumpy-ride series, like Clannad or TTGL, those are the anime that, when ended, left m with a little hole in my heart, 'cause I knew it was over, that there won't be anything new out of this world, that I could no longer live inside that world while watching it... And I got the same feeling at the end of Golden Time.. And there it struck me.. The WHOLE reason and meaning of Golden Time (IDK if the things I'm about to say are spoilers or not, so I'll just leave them untagged). I realized that the time that we were given will never rewind, that the past will never return and there it stung me more, 'cause I knew that such a a great anime just ended and now it's in the past just to die with memories... THAT is the meaning of Golden Time.. and because of that I'm going to give it a 10/10, even though many may say that it doesn't deserve that high of a rating, I know what I'm doing and I know how I feel. Too bad that this roller-coster ended...
