I really like when science fiction animme llike Ergo proxy or From the new world are dealing more with the science than with the fiction part of the genre without though forgetting the second part. But in contrast with Ergo proxy (which wanted to play with your mind and for me at least it manages it) Shinsekai yori seemed like it didn't know what it wanted to give to the viewer. And that's the reason that this anime kind off dissapointed me.

Story: The concept of this anime is fantastic. It wasn't cliche and it was very unique. It wasn't dealing with aliens or space but with extraordinary humans and I loved that. But this anime had a huge problem with the pacing. I don't have a problem with slow-paced anime but this anime just didn't decide if it was going fast oor slow. One episode could be slow as hell and the next one would attack you with a mountain of information and strange happenings. So generally speaking while the concept was very good it's deliverance was somehow poor.

Art: One word spectacular. The animation was so bright and colorful it really drugs you into the anime's world.

Sound: This anime didn't had openings (except from one episode). But the music was very good the OST's pretty good some of them were classical music masterpieces. The first ending even though it was really weird I absolutely loved it. The second one was fine although I would prefer if they kept the first ending until the end.

Character: Except from some minor exceptions, I didn't like the characters. I found the protagonists very unreasonable and illogical at some moments especially Saki. But the minor exception was Squiller. He maybe seem annoying initially but trust me this little thing was one of the most completed characters I have ever seen. For him and only I put in the character section a 7.

Enjoyment: I wouldn't say that I didn't like Shinsekai yori but I certainly didn't enjoyed it as much. There were some times were I was loosing it. The final episode saved it for me with the bitter-sweet ending that it gave us. Overall I would say that this anime was an interesting experience but it could be much better if it didn't try to be so sophisticated at some times. Watch it if you want something different from the usual science fiction anime.

PS: This anime has some yaoi/yuri scenes which I'm not a fun to tell the truth but this anime at least had a reason to put them there so don'tbe surprised when you see them.
