Talking about the first one, at the begining you may find it boring and confuse. I mean, it's just 2 kids at the school what else .. BUT, it starts to get interesting about the 7º ep. Personally, i didnt liked to much. The first half of the show is just to boring.. in the middle, around the 12º ep, the harem takes place and it starts to get funny until the end of the show.
I think that this show is just about the developing of the many characters for then in the second season explain them and do the magic(drama).
The sound is always the same throughout the both animes so as the story.
The plot is a slice life, so we can´t say it is good because it's just a slice life, although due to the characters personal past, i gave it a 8/10 because it make us cry sometimes (still talking about the first anime, "Clannad")
About the second one, "Clannad after Story", it stills a slice life but no longer in school.. now the action takes place after school. While on the first show, the romance between the main characters just takes place at the end, here it takes place throughout the entire show, wich is just cute xD. Don´t exepect with a lot of hugs and kisses and cute stuff, because there is not such thing here.
The drama in "Clannad after Story" is really good. Thanks to the develop that we "were forced do see" in "Clannad" the drama becames really good because we actually care about the characters wich make us emotionally conected and then make us cry. With no joke, i would say that half of the "Clannad after Story" is drama and a good one.
So, i gave a 9/10 to the group because the story get's beautifull, all the characters are perfectly explored. Each one have their dreams and it's own way to be. And for it's purpose (drama) i would say it's one of the best shows i've ever seen.
For a slice life, it gave us a idea of how is it like living after school, the problems that life can bring to us.
For who is looking for cute scenes and a lot of kisses, this is not the rigth show for you. For who is looking for a good drama and want to cry a litle bit, this is your sant graal :D
