Mixed Feelings
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji **I'll try to keep it spoiler free**

Where to begin?? I started watching this anime with high hopes, but what I got is a disappointing mess that I regret watching.

Story: 6/10
The premise of Ookami was strong enough to pull me in, however it failed to deliver. The anime is only 12 eps so the story feels rushed. Personally I feel as if the anime didn't emphasise enough on Kyoya treating her like a 'dog' (although it is clear Kyoya is an a**hole) and instead placed to much emphasis on Erika chasing after Kyoya. The whole relationship between Erika and Kyoya is also confusing. After watching all episodes I couldn't actually find a concrete reason as to why Erika fell in love with Kyoya except for the fact that Kyoya is 'hot'. Sure they're are times where Kyoya did sorta act like a boyfriend but those moments where overshadowed when he acted like an 'a**hole'

Art: 7/10
The art of the anime was actually one of its strong point. The characters look great aswell as the background, although there are times (in the last few eps) where the characters (esp Kyoya) look a bit off. Nothing to complain about though

Sound: 6/10
Pretty standard for an anime, nothing too special although the track which plays during the 'sweet' moments is nice

Character: 6/10
This was one of the most infuriating aspects of the show.

Erika has got to be one of the worst MC I've ever seen. She is way too simple and is tricked waaay to easily. I know she is supposed to be your average teenage school girl but seriously no-one can be that stupid. She seems to lack any form of pride and I felt a lot of the time she was voluntary degrading herself for Kyoya. Her character is too clingy and the way she can be so easily won over is puzzling. Her character basically represents the opposite of female empowerment.

Kyoya's character I would say is polarizing. The way he treats Erika is extremely dislikable however there are thing such as background context to consider. Your view of him does fluctuate through the series however most of the time you'll be hating his Tsundere-like character. Whenever he enters 'Prince' mode is pretty amusing though.

The supporting characters are fine I suppose but no-one really stands out. Lol cheers to Sanda as being the only logical character in this show.

Enjoyment: 6/10
I actually did not find much enjoyment in this show. The show does have it moments however they are rare. Watching Erika's stupidity and embarrassing moments for 12 episodes straight, combined with Kyoya's antagonistic nature was tiring and frustrating, A lot of cringeworthy moments in this show.

Overall: 6/10
Personally, I would not recommend this anime. For me the character of Erika totally shut down any chances of me liking it. Its not completely 'unwatchable' but.. I dont think you'll get much out of watching this anime. If you're looking for a sweet romantic comedy, I suggest you look elsewhere
