This anime is an adaptation of the novel by Yusuke Kishi (go read it). So the story and characters are absolutely amazing. You can figure out what will happen next but it still will surprise you. Characters are believable, their actions can be easily explained and I empathized them a lot. Important thing - people are not overpowered killing machines despite the existence of magic in their world.
Sound is very good. There are no opening but it's not needed. Endings are good and I listened to them sometimes. Also, some parts of Antonin Dvorak's symphony "From the New World" were used, and it's just wonderful.
I like this anime a lot and I hope more people will watch it
