High school DxD is what all ecchi should be. When a friend mentioned to anime to me I thought it was going to be a boobfest with little to no plot at all. I was wrong. I mean , the boobfest was still there but it was accompanied with a plot. A good plot.
STORY: now I won't be spoiling any of the plot here, but trust me when I say that it's a solid story. Not the best but a story that goes deeper than you would think for a ecchi comedy. Not too deep though. Deep enough to enjoy but not deep enough for you to wake up at 2 am and scream "I UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING NOW".
ART: I mean, it's standard. Average. Yep.
SOUND: Sound is actually not to bad. Not the best openings and closings I've seen. but I mean hey, it's pretty good. Dark parts of the anime have dark music and light parts have light music. Funny parts having funny music. Music does its job well.
CHARACTER. I didn't hate a single one. Not even the villains. Okay maybe one or two villains but the characters are very enjoyable. Likable and realistic. To a degree. Because ya know. It's an ecchi.
ENJOYMENT. Absolutely enjoyed this. This is one of those animes that really is solid once you get over the boobfest.
OVERALL: story is great, art is average, sound does its job, characters are likable and solid. Really enjoyed it. It's a fun little anime that is worth a watch.
