Fate Zero genre is Action, Fantasy, and Thriller. Let's start on the animation, because in this show their was never a dull or bad moment. lt was just spot on and the action scenes were even better than l could even imagine. This show doesn't really have a main character, but some say this is. Just about everyone gets screen time for at least 1 episode or more. Let start on the human side Kiritsugu Emiya, lrisviel van Einzbern, Kirei Kotomine, Tokiomi Tosaka, Waver Velvet, Kayriya Mato, Ryunosuke Uryu, and Kayneth El Melloi Archibald. Most of these people besides lriseviel has a "servants", but she has her own importance. Now to servants and each of them are someone from history either famous or not. Archer is Gilgamesh, Lancer is First of the Knights of Fianna, Rider as Alexander the Great, Caster as Bluebear or another name is Gilles de Rais, Berserker is the Black Knight, Assassin is reincarnation of the head of the assassin order, and finally Saber known to be King of the Knights. With such a huge list many may say character development must've suck. Surprising no and the reason why is because of the story/plot. The story is 7 people are chosen to participate in the 4th Holy Grail in Fuyuki City. Each of these 7 people gets a servant that has powers to win the war. So with that said only one can win thus within a 24 episode limit they did very well. Having character development deepens on who survives. The director is Ei Aoki and he has done or be apart in Angel Beats, Baka to Test, Blood +, and Sword Art Online. He has done many storyboards and even taken a few episodes to direct in. The studio is ufotable who does more of movies or OVA's rather than its own series. The only other series i've seen by them is Gundam Seed. The music was probably what gave it its own feel to it. l haven't seen too many shows that has a good soundtrack that gives this feeling of epicness. The person who did it was Yuki Kajura and she has done Sword Art Online, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Tsubasa Chronicle, and a few others. Their is only a subbed version and it would be very interesting to see a dub coming in the future. ALSO quick note this is a prequel to Fate stay/night which was made before this show. Which to me the animation is completely different and even the feel of the show is just worse overall. So, with all being said i'll give this anime 10 out of 10
