The story consists of 6 characters with Tada Banri and Kaga Kouko having the biggest roles. The story is like any run of the mill romantic comedy, being written by the same person who wrote Toradora. Golden Time tries to have drama in a way that takes away from the story. While the drama can put people off, I believe the romance and comedy more than make up for it. The characters do have a good amount of depth that makes you sympathize with them...mostly. There are times you will find yourself questioning their actions, finding them irrational. One of the big things that makes this show different from most romantic comedies is that all the characters are of college age. There is also the fact that that this adaptation follows the light novel faithfully and it even ends at the same point as the light novel, giving a definite ending. While there are better romantic comedies out there, this is one that deserves the three episode rule.
