Glasslip's story totally fell short. It had so much potential to be something great but it just crashed. What really attracted to me this anime is the characters. I had felt like I could somewhat relate to each character in some way. However, the whole idea in which Touko and Kakeru could see "fragments of the future" literally fell flat by the end of the anime. This is why I gave the storyline a 4. You do not get to find out what this ability they seem to have means and it literally was frustrating as a watcher to not have that cleared up. They tried to explain it in the last episode but it still isn't crystal clear. I feel like they wanted to have an open ended ending but with this kind of storyline it just didn't work. The creators kept building up to what this "fragments of the the future" mean but didn't really explain it at all whatsoever. Viewers need that closure by the end of the anime and the creators just didn't give us that. The anime had so much potential and I was really hoping for an actual explanation or a better conclusion but all I got was frustration.

However, despite the fall of storyline, the characters were really what made the show. Kakeru is the true main boy character with Touko as the main girl. They are complete opposites in character. While Touko is indecisive, Kakeru is bold. To me he isn't what "broke" the group apart but actually strengthen the relationships within the group. By "breaking up" the group he was able to allow them to grow and to me Kakeru didn't harm any of them like he thinks he did by the end of the anime. I won't go in full detail about the other characters but I have to say that their growth and development was pretty awesome. Each character were able to conquer their weakness in some way shape or form. That is something I admire about the characters.

Now for the aesthetics of the anime well that is really what I loved about the anime. The sound track and the art was astoundingly beautiful. The soundtrack literally fit so well with the scenes and to me personally felt like it enhances moments in the anime. The art was really beautiful as well. The colors and shades and I just loved the sparkle of the "visions" that Touko experiences. It was really pretty.

To me if the anime just had a better ending I would have really loved this anime but because it fell short all I can give this anime is a 7. It absolutely wasn't the best anime but because of the characters, their development and the aesthetics of the anime it still was pretty enjoyable to watch
