I just finished this anime after about a 3 month hiatus from episode 9, and the whole time I was like "what the hell is happening?" And I think if i re-watched it, I still wouldn't come close to understanding.
When this show first came out, you could see the potential, but somewhere along the way something went wrong. It started off by introducing us to an interesting cast of characters. A group of close friends. 3 girls and 2 guys. Throw in another guy to mix things up a little and you get a love square for drama. That's how it started, but once the supernatural was thrown in, everything got jumbled up. The story went away from the group of friends and started focusing on the relationships between pairs of the characters and the group wasn't ever seen altogether for a while.
In the end, a real plot is never established but somehow there's a conclusion. The only good things in my opinion were the art and sound. I guess that's where the main focus was when creating this original anime.
