For example, if you're only ever allowed having apples everyday for an entire year, the more the sound of strawberries become enticing and if you stole a bite from mum's carton of strawberries in the fridge, oh what a joy it'll be to you, but karma finds a way to get back at you when things like that happen like mum finding out and out comes the belt for you bla bla bla.
Like Newton once said, "With every action, there's always an equal and opposite reaction." As such, this movie is about how unfair and cruel life is and yet beautiful at the same time (probably because we don't really have a choice but to be positive about the never ending bull we get in this life).
Please watch Hotarubi no Mori e! It's great and the story is very captivating. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to it and be inspired.
