Yeah... I don't think I get the hype. Cool as hell style, but I couldn't get over the fact that the whole show is an excuse to put (fake, drawn) 14 year old girls into incredibly revealing outfits. Comes off as pretty stupid and creepy to me honestly. The fact that they have super powers doesn't help. It would be a different story if any of the characters had any depth, but no, they are all very intentionally caricatures.
Besides those very serious turn offs, it's quite good. Some twists, lots of insanity, some pretty epic fight scenes... Obviously it's got a lot of style. I'm just bummed that it mostly comes at the expense of content. I think I need to watch FLCL again and try to wash this out of my brain.
