Flicking through the summer anime announcements on AniChart was how I stumbled across Zankyou no Terror. After watching the PV and reading the synopsis, I was really interested. And so, I decided to watch it... and was enlightened.

Terrorism is a rare subject to see animes about, and hearing about ZnT's plot made me incredibly intrigued. I wasn't sure how they were going to do it. But, let me just say, the executed the plot beautifully. The story is interesting, and I was gripped the entire way through. The ending had me stunned. My jaw dropped when the climax of episode 11 (Von) occurred. I won't give away any details, because I don't want to give any spoilers.

The character development is great. There's a lot of personality diversity, instead of just having more than one with the same personality. I don't need to say much about it, because I don't want to give anything away.

Zankyou no Terror isn't just all story and character development, heck no. I must say that it's one of the most beautifully animated animes I've ever seen. I mean, the character designs, backgrounds, and objects... they look absolutely stunning.

Now, I'm a sucker for anime soundtracks. I'm not joking - I listen to some on a daily basis! Zankyou no Terror's soundtrack, including the OP and ED, is absolutely stunning. For those more experienced in anime than I am, two words will tell you everything.... Yoko Kanno.

Overall, this has a place as one of my favourite animes of all time, and I am going to start recommending it to my anime-loving friends... and those who don't really watch anime at all.
If you are considering watching it, this series receives my highest recommendation... alongside the likes of Madoka Magica, in my case. And that's saying something.
