How is this anime so popular and how does it receive so much popularity for just 11 episodes? Well let me tell you

Story:
It's unique. It's nothing you would have ever seen in past anime (it's not a cliche one for sure, where you could predict where the story was going). The story focuses on two boys, Twelve and Nine, who have had a difficult past, and purposely try to get caught. The depth of the story is outstanding. It's not a light plot, but rather, a deep plot that is explored through the episodes. It's definitely original in it's own case, and probably nothing like this has popped up in the anime world yet. This is also probably one of the reasons why the popularity of the anime is so high, because of the distinctive plot.

Art:
I would give it an 8. You can definitely tell from the art that they try to mimick humans, rather than the cliche anime characters (large eyes, inhuman coloured hair). The animation for it is a pass in my eyes, but it's not like they could have perfected it any more than it already was.

Sound:
I'm not a fan of the openings of the endings, but they are okay. They aren't outstandingly awesome, or outstandingly boring either. The OST choices are good too, they definitely get to you. Emotionally.

Character:
There's a good character development, even though there's such a short amount of episodes. If I would compare it to other anime from the past few recent seasons, it definitely has exceeded far better than some anime with 12 episodes and are scheduled to have another cour (don't hate me for this, but TG barely had any character development, nor did Aldnoah.Zero).

Enjoyment:
10. You barely see any anime that are about bombing, but rather, detective work as well. You don't see this situation from one point of view, you see it from multiple points of views (i.e. Twelve and Nine, the detectives, Five). The story definitely keeps you going and interested.

Overall:
10. 10. 10. It's just the whole thing, it has been bought together very well.
