Firstly, the story was really great. The build up to the main event was done really well and it felt like you're cheering for your favorite team in real life. I also love how they're just not about spirits and friendships to win a game. They have to work hard with tactical and individual strength to go through and even with that, they STILL struggle to go through. Also, one of the high point for me, is how they show the reactions of both sides when the match ended. It's not just a little "ah, dang it" moments from the opponents. They actually show as if they were also the main characters. To put it simply, Karasuno(the main team) is not the only team with clever tactics, spirits and emotions. There was some quite cheesy moments in the beginning of this anime but it's not really a big deal.
The art was also done well in this anime. One of the high point of the art aspect is how they portray the characters' expressions and emotions throughout the series. You can feel the anger, joy and intimidation from the characters. It was also used well to portray some epic moments.
The sound was used really well in this series to fit in each scene especially in the matches and during the build up to the main event. It doesn't felt out of place. Especially the cheers during matches. Goddamn it's really good.
Most of the characters was so likeable and loveable. I also like to point on how Kageyama's character development was done really well. Not just the main characters, but the characters on other teams was done really well as well.
So overall, I really enjoy this anime and i'l be damned and pissed if there's no 2nd season. I really recommend it especially to anyone who loves sports anime. It really is a gem.
