I'm a big fan of the Psychological genre. But not all Psychological anime can keep me satisfied.
This is one of those series that suprises me and many other viewers, again and again.

Story~8/10

We start our thrilling adventure in Tokyo, a great big city, where everyone can't get attention.
Little to no backround information about the characters is given in the beginning. We learn about the tragedies that will haunt our three main characters for the rest of their life.
Our three main characters that are bound together by friendship, blood, sweat and desire, are about to tell you their story.

Art~10/10
The animation in Zankyou no terror is very well fitting to this anime. My first impression when watching this for the first time was that the creators used some type of gray filter. I'm really thankful for that, the filter is amazing in providing the mysterious and thrilling filled space.
The art is beautiful, realistic and fits perfectly with everything else in the anime.
Both opening and ending is well made with a gorgeous artwork.

Sound~10/10
The OST for Zankyou no terror is one of the highlights. The music is produced by our beloved Yoko Kanno, Known for making the amazing music for anime like Cowboy Bebop, Porco Rosso, Wolf's rain and much more. Music is something that connects us to the characters that we se on screen. So you haven't felt the connection between the characters and you? Well look no further, Zankyou no terror shows you how it's done. The show contains a CD with eight teen well produced songs with excellent quality.

Characters~7/10
Zankyou no terror has one of the most unexplained characters that i've had the pleasure to watch.
They are realistic, unique, and convincing.
We have Nine who is a mastermind in his early twenties that is trying to escape his horrible and inescapable past.

Twelve is a young man that has two sides. A child-like one and an adult one. He treats Nine like a big brother.

Then we have Lisa, our most interesting character. Sadly we don't get to know much about her throughout the episodes. She is always in the way and is very often pushed away, at least that is how she describes herself. However she makes a difference and has a big effect on Nine and Twelve.

Overall/Enjoyment~10/10
It feels weird to rate ten out of ten here. But Zankyou no terror is probably the best anime of the 2014's Summer season, for me it was the best i had seen in years.
I have seen people complaining about the loose ends and the things that they left out.
Why not take the show for what it is? Maybe all the mysterious and unanswered questions is what makes it so beautiful.
It was a great ride.
