1. After about episode 3 this becomes a very frustrating show.
2. This is more of a Psychological, Slice of Life, Drama than a Romance. You are almost forced into disliking the main character.
2(a). With this in mind, if you want to watch a show along these lines, but don't want to be frustrated at it I recommend watching Clannad or maybe Angel Beats instead.
3. This show portrays almost the most extreme outcome from this sort of situation created, because of this it is very easy to predict.
Now with all of that in mind, this show was very well written. I don't want to say much about the characters, because I believe you should go into this show without any precognition. The story is excellent, but as I said it shows an extreme outcome, and for me that kind of took away from it otherwise it would probably be an 8. It is based around the main character, and 3 "main" girls (one of which is not really as prominent). Throughout the show the ever changing relationships of nearly ALL the characters are shown, as well as the repercussions of their actions. With that in mind the character development was good, you get some scenes of individual characters showing their inner thoughts as well as how they are changing. I gave it a 7 on enjoyment, merely because of the end. Otherwise it was like pulling nails off, it was almost painful to watch them blunder about not learning from their mistakes or the mistakes of others.
Overall, I would recommend it if you think you can sit through 9 episodes that are hard to watch (Only 9 because the first 3 aren't too bad). As I said before, if you want something of this genre but don't want to "suffer" for the ending I recommend watching Clannad (or something from this writer in general) instead. As I mentioned before, I don't want to comment too much on the actual story line or characters because you may form different opinions than if you have ideas about the show from before hand.
