Story - I'm giving it a 9 because the plotline of Shinsekai yori was very unique for a story in the dystopian genre. Throughout the series various events would deepen the plot with a great deal of suspense and drama, it featured many parts where you'd really wonder if the character would make it out alive or not. It also comes to attention that the recommended age to watch this is 17+ and honestly I think it was a very mature anime because all the physiological elements that the characters go through. I have never seen an anime like this where their fictional norms were so bizarre without much explanation.

Art - The art and character design were very pleasing; again, it was a unique anime. Expressions on characters were portrayed very nicely and it's modern anime art style was memorable and you could tell it was well funded. I must say I really admire the clothing they designed for Shinsekai yori, the uniforms featured in the first few episodes were very cute and other outfits showed a very spiritual style and so on.

Sound - Soundtracks added a good deal to the suspense and drama, voice actors/actresses did a great job

Character - We follow Saki Watanabe throughout her life as she goes through being a main character in a dystopian society, there is so so much character development it is beautiful. Many of Shinsekai yori's characters represent different personas or complexes which is admired because all the different ways they coped with situations. However the characters are rarely someone to relate to or honestly appear too strategic at times

Enjoyment - Very nice, the story however jumps around the years, I'm not sure how I feel about that yet but there are so many gaps.
And well I guess some parts are slow with explanations or episode arcs flow into three or more episodes. However this is an anime to be patient with, the later on drama will reflect on their foreshadowing.

Overall this was a great memorable anime that was definitely worth my time. I'm giving it an 8.5 because they could have brushed up on some of their elements. And I still feel a mental aftershock for I just finished this anime hours ago
