Story 9/10
The story revolves around a boy named Akira Takizawa and a girl named Saki Morimi who find themselves in an akward position in front of the White House in Washington D.C.. I enjoy that the story takes on the problems that reflect the real world and it sets up the show for its scenario based around Akira having to do something to change the Japan for the better.
Art 9/10
The art is great, by looking at the animation you can tell the animators had a more than average budget. The characters are well drawn but I believe the scenery is where the show comes to life, not slaking in animations of big cities or crowds the animators deserve praise.
Sound 8/10
The sound is very good despite having a odd opening and ending. The opening is a english song "Falling Down" by oasis not too often does an anime pick an english song for their opening but it is a very fitting opening.
Characters 9/10
The characters are one of the things I enjoy about this anime. Akira is a very much fitting and unique protanganist for the series, his humor and up beat additude brings balance to the serious nature of the plot. Saki compilments Akira well being that she is shy and more cautious. I think most of the characters are interesting but in means of character development, other then Akira, i find it a bit lacking.
Enjoyment 9/10
The show is very much satisfying on an the level of enjoyment because with so many anime in recent time only having to offer fanservice and romantic cliches this anime has so much more to deliever with its great plot and characters.
Overall 9/10
Overall this is probably one of the best anime to come out of 2009 and is very much worth a look if you are looking for an anime that is dictated by a great plot. However with all the developments in the story it is nerve wrecking wondering if they with will be able to give this series a satisfying ending with the last two episodes, whatever the case you will probably find me reviewing the series by the time it ends.
